I am currently hosting several versions of one website from my ftp server to basically show how the site has developed and got better since it was first hosted two years ago. On the current website i have links back to the old sites. For example, from my current site, i have a link to the 1st & 2nd draft and first 4 versions of the site hosted. these old websites are in different folders on my server which are all in one folder called site archive.

When i search for my website on a search engine, some of the old sites appear aswell as my current one.

How can i stop the old websites from appearing on search engines?

I will add more details if necessary cos im not the best at explainign

I want a free website hosting service, that allows me to have ftp access. I want to make my web page(*my registered domain), as I created it in my computer. I simply want to upload the .html file and related images,flash-objects,etc. I want a ad free host-er. I searched internet, and found that free(+ad-free) web hostess are available, but I had to build my site, by the software provided, or by making it online. A free web-space of 25MB-50MB would be just fine for me. Tell me if anyone knows the solution. The best answer will receive tip by pay-pal(so include your email address) . Thanks.

A typical query:

I am using frontpage and I have created a homepage. I already have a domain name and web host, and ftp address. The only problem I’m having is publishing the home page to the actual website.

When I go to publish, I have the options of publishing by:
FrontPage or SharePoint Services
WebDAV
FTP
File System

I select FTP, and then I need to enter the remote web site location, and the FTP directory.

What am I supposed to put in, so I can publish to my domain website?

I’d really appreciate some help, best answer to whoever can figure it out the quickest!!

Where is the best free web hosting or online website builder? I want to be able to create pages that showcase my artwork, specifically for 365 days of photos. I would love if there was an option for people to leave comments for each individual photo as well… I have dreamweaver, so I could use that, but I’ve never used it before, so I’m not sure what the best free web hosting sites are to correspond with it. (I tried awardspace, but couldn’t get the FTP to connect) So anyway, anyone have any experience with creating their own portfolio websites? (or just websites in general)

I google it and get something like "cdm-66-76-204-14.mlvn.suddenlink.net"? Do I already have a hostname that is provided by my ISP because I thought that get the software and then the software lets you choose a hostname.
